Day 1
08.00   Disembark, go through the passport control, meet your guide.
Your 2-day St Petersburg small group tour starts directly at the cruise terminal, after the passport control stall. Your guide will meet you at the terminal. Look for our company logo.
City tour by car with stops for picture-taking and short walks in the most picturesque and famous venues.
Detailed city sightseeing tour that includes a stroll along Nevsky Avenue and one of pedestrian streets, an inside visit to a local active church and a visit to Yelisseev’s grocery store. You will see such famous landmarks as Spit of Vasilievsky Island with Rostral Columns, Egyptian Sphixes, Admiralty, St. Isaac's Square, Peter and Paul Fortress, Nevsky Prospect, Field of Mars, Summer Garden, Mikhailovsky Castle, Monument to Catherine the Great, Bronze Horseman and many more.
10:30 – 11.00   Visit to St. Isaac’s Cathedral.
St. Isaac's Cathedral was originally the city's main church and Russia's biggest cathedral. It took almost half a century to be built: the main works finished in 1858, and St.Isaac's was concecrated. The works on the inner decoration and fine-tuning were going on practically until the Revolution of 1917.
Nowadays it's an amazing museum packed with 19th-century art masterpieces. One of the chapels was concecrated as an active church.
11.30 – 12.00   Visit to Resurrection Cathedral (Church on the Blood).
Church on Spilt Blood is another great masterpiece of Russian architecture. Built in old Russian church-building traditions, it stands out among baroque and classical buildings of St. Petersburg historic city centre. Inside and outside it is decorated with colourful mosaics, which makes it the world's biggest mosaic museum.
13.15 – 13.45   Time for lunch/snack/coffee-break

14.00 – 16.15   Tour of the Hermitage museum (main museum complex including the Winter Palace and Old Masters’ collections).
The Hermitage, which ranks as the second largest art museum in the world, possesses a treasury of masterpieces by Old Masters, sculpture, historic artefacts and works of applied art. You will have a good intruductory tour to the Hermitage collections and see as much as it is possible to see within a couple of hours.
16.15 – 16.30   Palace square walk.
The heart of St. Petersburg, an amazing spacious square surrounded with graceful monuments of architecture.
17.00   Return on board the ship.
Day 2
08.00   Meeting.
Meet your guide in the port terminal behind the passport control. Continue the sightseeing tour.
8:30 – 9.30   St. Petersburg canal and Neva River cruise by a private boat.
See the sights of St. Petersburg on a 1-hour boat tour along the main downtown rivers and canals. See lovely houses flanking the small canals and gorgeous palaces lined along the Neva River embankments. The old fortress, graceful churches and beautiful bridges that don't repeat in design.
10.30 – 12.15   Tour of the Catherine Palace & Amber Room, followed by a walk in the Catherine gardens.
Drive outside St. Petersburg to a satellite town called Pushkin (former Tsarskoye Selo, the Tsars' Village).
The exposition of stunning Catherine Palace embraces practically all the 300-long history of this place. You'll see lavish interious meant for Elizabeth, austere grace of Catherine the Great's rooms. However the main attraction of the palace still remains the legendary Amber Room.
12:30 – 13.30   Time for lunch/snack/coffee-break

14.30 – 15.30   Tour of Peterhof fountains and parks.
Although Peterhof was built and developed as a summer-time residence of the Russian Tsars and has the Grand Palace and numerous smaller palaces and pavilions, the main attraction of Peterhof have always been its fountain gardens. Altogether the gardens are decorated with 150 fountains - big and small, simple and intricate - and 4 larger cascades. The most famous out of them is the Grand Cascade in front of the Palace from the Gulf of Finland side. You will take a walk through the Upper and Lower fountain parks, see the famous cascades as well as trick fountains.
16.30   Return on board the ship with a metro (=subway) ride on the way.
Experiencing St. Petersburg from yet another prospective - visiting its underground - adds your tour. On the way from Peterhof you will see a couple of oldest and most beautiful subway stations of our city.
