Premium Saint Petersburg Small Group Tour

Shore Excursions
All-inclusive 2-day shore excursion for active visitors.

Is it possible to see all the main St. Petersburg highlights in just 2 days? Is it possible to add food tasting and such activities as a canal boat ride or a metro trip? Is it possible not to spend a fortune for such a tour?– Yes! The answer is our 2 day Premium small group tour in St. Petersburg. And although your two-day stop-over is not made of rubber, Premium small group tour includes as much as possible in but such a short stay. The active pace might seem a race across St. Pete, but it’s rather a journey through the history and architecture of our city. Your local tour guide will show Russia’s rich historical tapestry and comment on present-day life and recent events of the contemporary history. One more advantage is the price: in a small group tour (shared tour) the price is much lower then in a private tour.

We provide Premium tour in St. Petersburg to Baltic cruise passengers on a visa-free basis.

Itinerary

Your small group tour starts directly at the cruise terminal, after the passport control stalls. Your guide will meet you at the arrivals area. Look for the sign with our company logo.
09:00 – 10:00   St. Petersburg city tour by car.
During the introductory city tour you will get to see such famous St. Petersburg sights as Academy of Fine Arts and Egyptian Sphinx Embankment, Menshikov Palace, Admiralty, Bronze Horseman, St. Isaac's Cathedral, Spit of Vassilievsky Island with Rostral Columns, Kunstkammer, Palace Embankment and many more iconic landmarks.
10:00 – 10.45   Peter & Paul Fortress & Cathedral inside visit.
The fortress can be called the cradle of St. Petersburg as its founding on May 27, 1703 it considered to mark the founding of our city. It's history is quite gruesome as hundreds of forced labourers died while building the fortress, its bastions were later used to guard and torture many political prisoners and the Cathedral on the territory of the fortress became the last resting place of the Romanov tsars.
11:00 – 11.30   Church on the Blood inside visit.
The Church on Spilt Blood, also known as the Resurrection Cathedral was built on the spot where Tsar Alexander II was assassinated (hence the informal name). It was meant as a memorial dedicated to the Liberator Tsar who abolished serfdom in Russia. Nowadays it's an outstanding architectural monument and a world renowned museum of mosaics (inside every inch is covered with mosaics - Roman, Florentine or Russian)
11.45 – 13.45   Hermitage museum tour.
One of the most famous museums of the world, the Hermitage occupies a grand ensemble of buildings. The most impressive is the Winter Palace, to which Catherine the Great added the Small Hermitage and the Old Hermitage. Later on, during her grandson Nicholas I's reign, the New Hermitage was added to the complex. Nowadays they comprise the main museum complex.
During you general tour of the Hermitage you will get to see all the above mentioned buildings, which house the world famous collections of Old Masters, sculpture and applied art masterpieces.
14.15 – 15.15   Russian traditional lunch (included in the price).
A classic Russian lunch includes hot soup as the first course and meat with potatoes, buckwheat or pasta as the second course. We offer you to have a traditional Russian lunch with drinks and dessert in a local place.
15.30 – 16.30   Yussoupov Palace (main exposition + Rasputin murder tour).

One of the few surviving residences of the fabulously wealthy noble family of the Yussupovs. Amazingly, the palace managed to retain the original interiors throughout the destructive Soviet period. But the real fame to this palace was brought by the grim murder of Rasputin, that happened in the cellars of the elegant nobleman's nest on 17 December 1916.
17.00 – 17.30   St. Isaac’s Cathedral.
The magnificent golden dome of St. Isaac's Cathedral is visible all across the city. This impressive masterpiece of architecture has been the icon of St. Petersburg skyline for over a century and a half. But inside it is even more impressive. The spacious interior (meant for 11 thousand people attending a service simultaneously) is filled with hundreds of impressive 19th-century works of art.
17.30   Time for walking and/or shopping.
Your guide will be happy to advise on traditional souvenirs and gifts from Russia or alternative things (like chocolate or vodka) to take home.
